Ozen volleyball wins Hamshire-Fannett Tournament

After opening with a 25-5, 25-10 victory over WO-S, the Panthers got by the host Longhorns 22-25, 25-24, 25-18 in the semifinals, then downed Vidor 25-19, 19-25, 25-18 in the championship match.

Ozen's Jayme Bazile accumulated eight blocks and 13 kills over the three matches, while Alexus Brannon had eight blocks, 10 kills and four digs. Other Panther leaders included Somalia Randle with 12 aces, 57 assists and four kills and Jasmine Wells with 24 kills and 39 assists.

Hamshire-Fannett defeated Liberty in the third-place match, while Lumberton outlasted WO-S for the consolation title.
