BearWolf Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Who should get the starting QB job at West Brook?
KFDM COOP Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Very good question. Both were used in the Lufkin Scrimmage.
BigWolf10 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Another QB cont. Man, hope one seperate his self before dist. start. Then again two QB system may work. WB has an great Coaching staff. If any program could pull it off WB can.
BMTSoulja1 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Louis...I heard Falgout is a solid DB. Let him play defense.
BearWolf Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Posted August 27, 2007 True, looking at them practicing the other day; Louis has a gun
BMTSoulja1 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 I heard that he has better accuracy that velocity and projectory. I realy dont' care about the other two as much, as long as he can hit those numbers.
BearWolf Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Posted August 27, 2007 Louis will make the passing game better than it was last year. He will keep defenses from putting 8 in the box.
82 5A State Champs Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 I'm guessing Louis will get the nod.... groom him for next year? Plus, I think Falgout is too valuable on defense! But if Louis goes down with an injury, Falgout has proven he can be a leader and move the ball as QB.
Guest WBFan09 Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 i have heard rumors saying Falgout will get the starting job...however i can see Stump putting Falgout back at Safety if our secondary begins to get beat up...im satisfied with either one really...Last years Falgout start was blemished due to lack of team trust or from what i saw..they wont have that problem this year thoughi witnessed Louis throw a 40 yard pass in middle school right on the money...so i wouldnt be unhappy if he starts
BearWolf Posted August 28, 2007 Author Report Posted August 28, 2007 It's tough to take every snap on offense and be effective on defense, even if it's part time in that league. It would make sense if Louis was just average. Anytime your underclassman QB is just as good as your senior in a position battle always go with the underclassman. I've watch the Louis kid make some good decisions, of course you would expect that from a coaches son

BearWolf Posted August 28, 2007 Author Report Posted August 28, 2007 the other piece of this puzzle that no one talks about is how good will the WB recieving core will be
Guest WBFan09 Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 oh THEY ARE GOOD..haha Joshua Powdrill leads the corp that has a bunch of talent...another Junior whom will get plenty of playing time is Jordan Garrett, this kid is a great talent which makes our Junior class stackedQB- Christian LouisRB- Christian MichaelWR- Jordan GarretWide recieving corp is soo ready for this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BearWolf Posted August 28, 2007 Author Report Posted August 28, 2007 i watch Garrett play some last year as a part timer. Heck of a blocker, shows a lot of competitive fire and almost has a defensive mentality to contact. iI'm interested in seeing him get more balls thrown his way. At 6'-1", 195lb i like his size.
Yeoj Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Jordan also has great hands, the kid jumped up and pulled down a TD with the Safety and Corner all over him Saturday.
ice74 Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 I heard the rumor about Falgout getting the job too. I wouldn't be upset if this is true, but all things considered it makes more sense for Louis to start. I guess we will all just have to wait and see!
BigWolf10 Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 What offensive scheme is Da Brook running
BMTSoulja1 Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Need to run out of the I formation. Put both those monsters in.
txstar Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Bottom line is that WB has two good QBs, also they have Williams who is as good if not the best Senior runner in the area...also, Micheals is touted as the best Junior RB in the state. WB will be hard to beat. With the Williams/Micheals combo, it will take some of the pressure off the QB. They are well coached and will only improve weekly. I think in the next few years they will be able to stand with Westfield/Lufkin...
BMTSoulja1 Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Well they need to because I'm tired of Westfield trampling over Brook. I even had to go toe to toe with a westfield fan. Geesh!
