Guest EagleFan01
Well Newton looked pretty good tonight scored 2 TD in the controlled part of the scrimmage. Also scored TD in one quarter of real game situation. Had some injury's RB Justin Mclemore didn't play do to a sore knee but coach's say he will play next week against Crockett, also TE/DE Dylan Flannigan got a sprained AC joint but he should be fine for next week also. One of our CB got a concussion not sure about him haven't got an update just yet. But take away the injuries and they looked pretty good.

purpleeagle
The Lufkin news obviously has the JV mixed in with the varsity. The Newton JV outscored Dibolls JV 3 to 2. The return they called a touchdown was during the scrimmage which don't count, just as the Diboll fumbles Newton recovered and did not get credit for did not count. Newtons varsity in the scrimmage scored 2 to - zip for Diboll. The controlled scrimmage for one quarter was Newton 7 Diboll - zip. Diboll made a good showing and it was a good scrimmage. They varsity went for 2 hours and 10 minutes. Newton has several injuries, some from this game and some from earlier in this year. Praying that they all have full recovery.
