with a 10 week schedule and 2 scrimmages, that is a possibility of 3 'that time of the month in which every man in sight is the whipping boy of her frustration'...

If she capable of leading her team to a victory, I say let her have at it. It shouldn't matter about someone's gender, race, beliefs, or color. As long as they can do their job, let them give their best shot.

PS: What was that movie w/ Goldie Hawn as a football coach?

There have been female football coaches here in the state of Texas.  I don't know of any head coaches, but I do remember a school in Northeast Texas had a female assistant coach back in the eighties.
