BearWolf Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 That's just terrible. I hope the Dogs have a reliable backup.
BigWolf10 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Oh man, he had promise. #21 need someone to get him the ball. THAT wideout has skills. #15 & # 21 hooked up all nite on Brenham. Then the injury. Everything stopped after the injury. Someone have to step up Nederland.
Scalpem06 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 So sorry to hear this.. when he was in the game the dogs basicly controlled it..this guy was GOOD.. who ever played back up last night really didnt compair to Sampere..but knowing Nueman and Ned's coaching staff he will improve and be ready for district!!!
Guest 87CRU79 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Ryan is done until baseball start in Feb. Hopefully Kirby Bellow will be able to step up and run the offense. O Line needs to gel and start blocking on run plays. It's going to take some hard work and senior leadership to right the ship.

Sucks for the Dogs if it is a break. I stayed for the 1st half of the Nederland game last night and Sampere was very good. He made that new spread offense click. It will take some adjustment if hes really out for the season.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Any word on this? If it is broke NED is in trouble
Guest WBFan09 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Nederland just needs to believe in their backup and that they can do well anyways
PNG Proud Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Ned's faced this type of adversity before (wasn't it Barbay that stepped up?). They always somehow seem to pull it out though.Â
SFA85 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 His debut is on par with Durham's 260 yards against Bay City during the Hurricane year. Yes, this man sound strange but Ned has my sympathy. Reminds me of when Kip McFarlin(sp) when down in '87 with a broken leg but he didn't come back in time to guide Ned to the playoffs for the first time since '69

Hupernikomen Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 They will just have to adjust. Always another good athlete that can be plugged in and make do. Very fortunate that it was game one and they a couple more weeks to get someone else prepared.
SportsFanatic79 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 I'm hearing he will be out 4-6.
bulldog16 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Ryan is done as far as this football season goes...He broke both bones in his leg and he'll be in a cast for 6 weeks then he'll begin rehab....Hopefully, he'll be back in time for baseball...great kid, sorry to hear about this....
PURPLE 4EVER Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Hope he doesn't have any complications from the fractures.Good luck to his replacement.ALWAYS BELIEVE!

adminbaberuth Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Boy, I hate to hear that about Ryan. The team will adjust, but on a personal note, I just hate it for him.Â
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Hate to hear his season end like that. However, it's not a total loss. Remember when Ned had Dean at QB and he went down? Remember who came it at backup? Some guy named Hood. Keep your head up, bulldogs.
Guest 87CRU79 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Sullivan got hurt and Barbay came along, in 2001 Delage ot hurt and we were introduced to Dean, and in 2003 Dean got hurt and Hood emerged. As unfortunate as these past events were, hopefully Bellow can produce in the face of adversity.
