WEST HARDIN OILERS

2019 Record: 4-7 Overall, 2-3 District

4th Place in District 12-2A-II

Despite a rocky season, the rugged young West Hardin Oilers were able to qualify for the Class 2A, Division II playoffs.  Unfortunately, the Oilers ran into eventual state champion Mart who made sure the Oilers' stay in the playoffs was short.  Even though the Oilers move up to Division I in 2020, the Oilers do have a large grpoup of returning players (six starters on each side of the ball) and should be competitive.

COACHING

Head Coach: George Taylor

Assistant Coaches: Cody Cash, Lin Ellis, Dan Toler, Brian Gay, Austin Jones

OFFENSE

Six starters return to the Oiler offense in 2020.  Senior quarterback Austin Collier steps in at the helm of the West Hardin offense.  Senior running back Randon Kelley returns to the Oiler backfield where juniors Zach Bradley and Bradley Brown will also see action.  They will be operating behind a veteran offensive line which will be led by seniors Ty Gazaway (1st team all-district) and Bradley Thompson (2nd team all-district), junior Josiah Berry, sophomore Kaden Robinson and Rodie Ruffino.

DEFENSE

Six starters return to the Oiler defense in 2020.  Berry, Thompson and Robinson return to head the defensive line.  Kelley, Gazaway and Brown will line up at linebacker.  Collier and Bradley will anchor the West Hardin secondary.

SPECIAL TEAMS

All special teams positions will be determined in Fall camp.
