In 49 games with the Twins before he was sent down, Ford hit .232 with six doubles, three home runs and 14 RBIs in 112 at-bats. The team intended to bring him up when rosters could be expanded on Saturday, but he fouled a ball off his foot and sat out the last few days. Ford was a regular in 2004 and 2005, but his production has dropped off significantly since then. While with the Red Wings, Ford hit .262 in 122 at-bats with two home runs and 17 RBIs.
