bronco1 Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Basically it would be combining two area Districts. This might be what the next Districts could look like. This is Districts 21-4A through 24-4A. Maybe, possibly,???It will be cool to see if my original estimates are anything close to what happens.Of course some schools are gonna move up and down in numbers since the last re-districting.
rmac Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Looking at the 4A districts above, anyone with less than 1020 will probably be in 3A next go round. My brother is a prinicipal at Brownwood and that is what they have been told. As it stands now Brownwood will be in 3A next time.
KFDM COOP Posted September 20, 2007 Author Report Posted September 20, 2007 That's what i hear as well!
Guest Orangeboy Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Are they still only talking about doing this only in football, while in other sports you play in another localized district like we currently have? ??? If so, that's wrong because teams like HF and OF deserve fair shake in basketball and baseball as well.
Guest ndn09 Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Yea that is true who really cares about that all we really need is to play some good hard knocking football.
Matt Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 If 1020 drops you down to 3A, i like it, maybe dayton will move back and i will have my 20 minute road games back. I made 1 away game last year and that was central game
BadMedicine Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 If 1020 is the upper enrollment for 3A, Barbers Hill, Huffman, and possibly Lumberton may drop to 3A. Also Kirbyville and Orangefield might drop to 2A if the lower limit is raised to around 500. I would love to see Barbers Hill and WOS play. The smack talk would be awesome for that one.
k-villeballa Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 I would love to see Newton and Kirbyville battle it out for the district title in 2A.
Gasilla Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 I was looking at that map for the "potential" 3A DI district if this goes into effect. No one mentioned it, but I noticed one certain little blip on the map down I-45, just North of Galveston. If that happens, you guys are toast!!!
Bigdog Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 I think LM's enrollment was 1100 or more last year.

It will be higher than 1020.

BadMedicine Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 It will be higher than 1020.So what will be the bottom number for 3A?
BadMedicine Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 So you think there will be a difference of 800 students from smallest to largest in 3A?
KFDM COOP Posted September 22, 2007 Author Report Posted September 22, 2007 UMM, maybe not that much!
KFDM COOP Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 It will be cool to see if my original estimates are anything close to what happens.Of course some schools are gonna move up and down in numbers since the last re-districting. OCT. 22 IS WHEN THEY VOTE!
KFDM COOP Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 I spoke with Dr. Breithaupt on this earlier today and he mentioned OF and HF would love it. ;D
stevieray Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 If that's the numbers for enrollment, Stephenville along with Brownwood would move to 3A.
KFDM COOP Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 The number will be higher he told me.
stevieray Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 I'm just a little confused...so will Stephenville go down to 3A since they are right at 1000 students?
KFDM COOP Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 They will stay 4A. There's a 50/50 chance on this even passing he told me.
BadMedicine Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 I spoke with Dr. Breithaupt on this earlier today and he mentioned OF and HF would love it. ;DIf OF and HF drop to 2A, they may prefer to stay in 3A. With ECC, Newton, Hardin, & Buna in 2A, I would rather take my chances against Silsbee, Jasper, BC, & HJ.
