*UIL FOOTBALL CHANGES LIKELY COMING FOR 2008..OCT. 22 IS THE VOTE*

Basically it would be combining two area Districts. This might be what the next Districts could look like. This is Districts 21-4A through 24-4A. Maybe, possibly,???

It will be cool to see if my original estimates are anything close to what happens.

Of course some schools are gonna move up and down in numbers since the last re-districting.

Looking at the 4A districts above, anyone with less than 1020 will probably be in 3A next go round.  My brother is a prinicipal at Brownwood and that is what they have been told.  As it stands now Brownwood will be in 3A next time.

Are they still only talking about doing this only in football, while in other sports you play in another localized district like we currently have? ??? If so, that's wrong because teams like HF and OF deserve fair shake in basketball and baseball as well.

If 1020 drops you down to 3A, i like it, maybe dayton will move back and i will have my 20 minute road games back. I made 1 away game last year and that was central game

If 1020 is the upper enrollment for 3A, Barbers Hill, Huffman, and possibly Lumberton may drop to 3A.  Also Kirbyville and Orangefield might drop to 2A if the lower limit is raised to around 500. 

I would love to see Barbers Hill and WOS play.  The smack talk would be awesome for that one.

I was looking at that map for the "potential" 3A DI district if this goes into effect. No one mentioned it, but I noticed one certain little blip on the map down I-45, just North of Galveston. If that happens, you guys are toast!!!

I think LM's enrollment was 1100 or more last year.

I know that Football and Basketball are grouped together in realignments.

If OF and HF drop to 2A, they may prefer to stay in 3A.  With ECC, Newton, Hardin, & Buna in 2A, I would rather take my chances against Silsbee, Jasper, BC, & HJ.
