HULL-DAISETTA BOBCATS

2019 Record: 2-7 Overall, 0-5 District

6th Place in District 12-2A-I

 

2019 was a season of struggle for the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats as the they limped to a 2-7 regular season and 0-5 district state.  Things will be on the uptick as Stan Hodges returns after a one year hiatus and the Bobcats will be again competing in Class 2A, Division II.  That fact, plus the return of nine returning offensive starters and eight starting defenders, bode well for the Bobcats' playoff chances.

 

COACHING

Head Coach: Stan Hodges

Assistant Coaches: Trent Wallace (Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Offensive and Defensive Line), Jarrett Thibodeaux (Defensive Coordinator/Tight End/Linebackers), Dean Womack (Running Back/Outside Linebackers), Alfredo Rodriguez (Offensive and Defensive Line)

 

OFFENSE

Nine starters return to the Hull-Daisetta Multiple Wing T in 2020.  Sophomore Landyn Sellers (2nd team all-district) will return to lead the Bobcat offense.  Sophomore Landon Victorian, senior Bryce Aguirre and freshman Dawson Victorian will be counted on in the running game along with sophomore wing back Damien Guzman.  Senior Paul Goodman (2nd team all-district) will lead an offensive line which will also include senior linemen Gavin Gay and Jordan Charanza, junior tight end Cayden Anders and sophomore lineman Conner Drake. Anders and sophomore wide receiver will be available when the Bobcats take to the air.

 

DEFENSE

Eight starters return to the Hull-Daisetta 5-2 defense in 2020.  Aguirre (1st team all-district) and Charanza will line up at defensive end while Gay and Drake will line up in the middle of the defensive line.  Sellers (1st team all-district at defensive end) will line up at linebacker with Goodman, Landon Victorian and Anders.  Broussard and Dawson Victorian will roam the Bobcat secondary.

 

SPECIAL TEAMS

Sellers will do the place kicking for Hull-Daisetta while Broussard will be the primary kick returner.
