WOSgrad Posted June 24, 2020 Report Posted June 24, 2020 2020 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PREVIEWS SPLENDORA WILDCATS 2019 Record: 5-4 Overall; 2-3 District 5th Place in District 11-4A-I The 2019 season for Marcus Schulz and the Splendora Wildcats was a bit of a step back from the outstanding 2018 season. However, the young team of 2019 looks to blossom into an experienced squad ready to compete for a playoff spot. Nine offensive starters and seven starting defenders return to compete for that goal. COACHING Head Coach: Marcus Schulz Assistant Coaches: Matt Riordan (Offensive Coordinator), Chase Reneau (Co-Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers), Lawrence Smith (Co-Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Line), Clay Mayo (Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line), Cody Inkster (Defensive Backs), Laine Sambrooks (Linebackers), Jeremy Holliefield (Running Backs), J.T. Hatton (Wide Receivers), Freddie Stoglin (Defensive Line), Chip Keel (Assistant) OFFENSE Nine starters return to the Splendora RPO offense in 2020. Jagger Kennedy (1st team all-district at wide receiver) will move over from wide receiver to take over full time at quarterback with sophomore Harrison Facundo also seeing time behind center. Junior Zane Obregon (84 carries, 530 yd, 3 TD, 1st team all-district) will return to shoulder the rushing load with senior Andrew Hernandez and sophomores Tanner Adams and Tyler Mericle also seeing carries. Seniors wide outs Cole Goodrum and C.J. Groh will lead the Wildcat receiver. Senior linemen Austin Elliot (1st team all-district), Trenton Vest, Tyler Anderson and Dale Martin bring experience to the Splendora offensive. DEFENSE Seven starters return to the Splendora 4-2-5 defense in 2020. Senior linemen Collin Rhodes and Davin McGraw will lead things up front. Obregon (2nd team all-district) and senior Andrew Hernandez will head the Wildcat linebacker corp with Adams and Mericle also getting reps there. Kennedy (1st team all-district) and Groh (2nd team all-district) will anchor a secondary which will also feature Goodrum and juniors Colby Frazier and Nick Johnson. SPECIAL TEAMS Sophomore Kevin Luna (2nd team all-district) will do the kicking for Splendora will handle the punting. Goodrum will be the primary returner. Justafan72 Posted August 7, 2020 Report Posted August 7, 2020 Don't know, nephew couldn't give me any details.He's now saying Trenton Dickey from Hardin. He's on the Splendora roster with Maxpreps. 6-4,245.

He's on the Splendora roster with Maxpreps. 6-4,245. Trenton is a good player he was All-District TE/LB for Hardin last two years. Going to really miss having him we dont have any other linebackers his size in Hardin and he could carry the ball for a solid 3-4 a carry.
