Ole Faithful Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 well i agree because how can u go 3 for 7 and walk some people get 10 hits against you and let 7 runs score? thats a bit much to be player of the week
espn2 Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 We should lay off the kid. Let him enjoy his award. Who else was even nominated last week. I didn't see anybody. So maybe he had the best week.
jdawg03 Posted May 4, 2006 Author Report Posted May 4, 2006 Stats were not what won him this award... the kid battled and pitched the whole game after Jasper beat him up pretty good earlier on....and got the win...thats called heart thanks to him, Silsbee is enjoying their first Baseball District Championship in a longggg time
TigerMom Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Thanks jdawg03 - these Silsbee kids have really come together this year and fought hard to get this title. Kevin pitched his heart out Friday night and totally deserves this recognition. Unfortunately, the Silsbee Tigers do not get much recognition and they deserve it. They have come together as a team and done very well.
Guest Orangeboy Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Congrats, to K-Mac on a great week and big win over Jasper last week. Good luck to you and your teammates next week.
shsucat Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 if some of you people don't have better things to say about some of our kids that play the game of baseball, should keep their thoughts at home and stay off this site. I was at the game, he could of gave up but he didn't, his heart is alot bigger than yours!!! Good job "K-MAC"! your team thanks you! Hello Slim!!!
SilsbeeD Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 yeah he was pitching against a very solid jasper team that can hit the ball very well
bigred75 Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 I am with ya'll on this one. It aint always the stats that make a player..............Give him his props..................This is a game and these are kids by the way............ Ok to get on a team.......not ok to get on a kid.
