dawgnut Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 titan is anti anyone or team from MC, so if you are waiting on him to pick one of our teams your going to be waiting a long time. If Ned. was the #1 ranked team in the US and we were playing a 1A team titan would pick the 1A team!
Bigdog Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Should be a good test for the Defense.

baddog Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 titan picks against Nederland in every game. Do you know how many times that makes him wrong?.....a bunch. What a jerk!Bay City hasn't been good in a few years now. I don't know the problem, but it's true. If Waller still has that RB, he will be a problem for sure, but our defense has already shown that it can play against a lot bigger opponents (Brenham...avg 280# on the line, one guy 360#) and have success. I take no team lightly and Waller certainly isn't taking Nederland lightly either. Should be a good game.Nederland in a squeaker...

Guest Luv Ya Blue Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Nederland will find a way to win. They seem to always find a way to pull it out.
NedDog Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Please explain.I think what he means is, if Ned wasn't a good team and was not in the mix every year, then titan would not even care enough to put Ned down with his posts.Â
WOS92 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Waller won the game in a rushing contest between to solid RB's from each team. No defense whatsoever on both sides of the ball. I agree with Aggie...It does seem premature to start this topic before we play Forest Brook. Do you mean T.W.O.?
Bon_Mot Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Bay City hasn't been good in a few years now. I don't know the problem, but it's true. They're getting better. They had receivers open all night. The difference in this year's team with the new coach versus last year's is very obvious. If Waller still has that RB, he will be a problem for sure,If you're talking about Colton Johnson, he just got red-shirted at UT. Their quarterback, the coach's son, is back though, and he's really tough. Might be headed to North Texas as a DB.
NedDog Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Is Phillips the QB? If so, he seems pretty dangerous based on the stats above.Â
Bon_Mot Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Yes, he is the coach's son. He's a very tough runner and a great leader. He hasn't thrown it too much so far this year. He's been playing some safety, but it seems like they only use him when they really, really need him back there. Waller drove 95 yards down the field on their last possesion to win the game against Bay City with five seconds left.
NedDog Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Wow! Very impressive. Ned will definately have their hands full this week.Â
nissanindian Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 i pic nederland in a squeaker but you know png fans dont hate on ned as bad as titan does and ozen almost beat pa titans long season for them ahead
Guest 87CRU79 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 IMO the keys for the game are:1) Defense needs to keep their intensity level up. Our Defense is doing a good job making plays, and this is the first year in a long time that our DB's actually hit people.2) We need to establish a consistent running game. This rotating 3 RB's thing is not going to work. No one can get in a rythm when you have a new RB every other play. Pick a RB and stick with him.3) The team, coaches, and fans were behind Bellow this past week. We all need to stay confident in Bellow through thick and thin. More than likely, we will not win every game this season, although that would be nice... ;D.Nederland by 13!
oldog71 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Can someone give me some info on Waller. The city of Wallers web sight says pop. 1500 were do there kids come from are they out in the country or what. ??? ???
BearWolf Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Waller is about 30 miles nw of Houston on Hwy 290. Historical a rural community. Surburban bedroom communities have been encroaching upon them for some time now. Folks looking for an alternative to living in Houston proper. I believe at least of couple of these recently developed communities (last 15 years) have settled in their school district.
SportsFanatic79 Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 I don't see a problem with rotating RBs as it will keep them fresh.
