HF and Anahuac had already reached a tentative agreement to play each other in Wk 2

I see, just catching up on all of the posts.

I have to say I'm really glad we dropped down to 4a this year.

Potentially only losing one game and the schedule lines up perfectly for us as far as home vs away games.

Not to mention the competitive and depth advantages that used to be weaknesses. No excuses for the Vidor Pirates this year.

I'm guessing here and not saying i agree.  Just trying to guess on why the decision was made.

Pure math says that smaller communities would have reduced chances of transmission.  Why is the line between 4a/5a?  Gotta put it somewhere I guess.

I had this conversation with a medical health professional that has worked with local ISD's.  My premise was - What happens when a coach hears of a kid that tested positive and squashes it or hides it somehow?

The answer was "That is not just a bad idea.  That is a career ending decision that carries with it a very high probability of legal consequences both criminal and civil.  The coach is putting the future of his career, his family, and possibly his freedom in jeopardy by depending on the ability of a 14-17 year old kid to keep their mouth shut."

Once I played it out in my mind,  Its going to be hard to imagine a coach doing that.

Like it’s hard to imagine College players getting paid I guess...
