You guys are so negative, you want it to be over before it starts. I can’t believe so many people truly want there to be no football season or school year. We are supposed to be all in to play a full football schedule, including playoffs.

If a player tests positive they sit out for 10 days and most likely come back just fine. If a team has an outbreak maybe they forfeit a game or two and the rest of the teams play on, like baseball is doing. Why is it so hard to follow a model like that?

I’d be more concerned about the coaches, officials and fans, hopefully we don’t see any problems there but the kids will be fine. They are young, in good shape and have yet to develop any underlying health conditions like the rest of us old worry warts.

MLB has their own set of problems. They are continuing because they have millions of dollars at stake and thousands of replacement players waiting at an alternate site for a call up. Baseball isn't even a contact sport. But the NFL is, and they announced today that over 60 players will opt out.

Well there is the solution then, high schoolers can opt out too. They don’t have to play high school football but they are there because they want to be. Same goes for the coaches, officials and fans, nobody is forced to be at a high school football game. Yet still people on the outside completely uninvested in these football programs say shut everything down.
