Sigler had to manage attitudes & egos, on & off the team. In the stands.

This is something he doesn't get enough credit for. It ain't just about the Xs and Os. Coach Sig has to walk a very fine line between being a complete disciplinarian and being player/fan friendly. A lot of coaches would fail in Silsbee. That's something a lot of people don't get.

I remember being here when Coach Green was coaching. Let's just say a lot of players/parents definitely felt a certain way about him.

Let's just say he wasn't going to win any popularity contest.

Tigers playing United twice in one month? May as well toss our young kids in the fire early, I guess.

I was gonna say something about that, but I guess it works out since uil isn’t allowing tournaments this year..

Would of thought they would have scheduled better in the non-confernce...  Woodville to is a definite no for me

Will have full squad by then.  That united team may be as talented as any we’ve seen from Silsbee.  If they can avoid beat downs, will be impressive.

I don't see anything wrong with Silsbee's non-district schedule.

Probably 4-5 state ranked teams in that schedule.

Sigler is not going to schedule this year like he has the last several years because of what kind of team he has.

So what is the procedures in regards to crowd size in the gymnasiums, social distance, etc?  It would be ashamed to drive somewhere to see a game then get turned away.

Probably depends on the host school's protocols.

Looks like a pretty brutal non-district schedule to me. Probably gonna be under 500 going into district. Some of these kids haven't lost a basketball game in two years. Let's see how they deal with it.

I only see four or five games I'd be comfortable siding with Silsbee on: Woodville, Stafford, Lagrange, Center. Not so sure about Barbers Hill, West Brook, or Lufkin. All the others are likely loses.

A few oddballs like Woodville, but I'm sure our kids might be looking to work out some frustrations by then. Not sure if Center has their basketball program back on track or not.

Will The UIL decide on the attendance for basketball or will they allow the school districts to make the call on games at the schools and stadiums.

Not sure yet. Probably will be what volleyball is currently doing.

I did see where UIL is probably going to allow tournaments for baseball and softball this coming season.

How far into the Regionals, I have Silsbee (W22) beating HJ (W21) in the Regional Quarterfinals.

To play a down Yates team who didn't recruit well this year 😂

This is an interesting prediction. I think HJ will be better than they were last year. I know Silsbee has some good young freshmen coming but players like Bush are impossible to replace. Should be fun to say the least. All 3 games last year were nail biters.

What lucky school in district 22 will be able to celebrate that district win over Silsbee, I see Silsbee going undefeated in district play this year.

Lumberton has the best shoot. But I wouldn’t count out LCM.

Yates vs HJ for a trip to SA is my prediction.

I ready like your prediction, but Yates Lost by far All of their Scoring.  This year's team will struggle to score and defend.  I see Yates having no problem winning the division (HISD WEAK) but it will be a fight once the playoffs start.  The transfer portal was down this year at Yates, I guess the transfers wanted to play 5A & 6A ball this year.
