Htexans90 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 was it he planted and landed wrong, or just got twisted in a tackle?
SETEXFan Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 It it is fibula they are concerned about.
Guest 87CRU79 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Hope Green can remain healthy. It would be really unfortunate to lose two of the major QB's from 22-4A in consecutive weeks. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Green and Sampere families.
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Green is a tough kid and will be back on the field healthy and ready to go soon. My wishes to him.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 WHAT HAPPENED....Got a good view of this on the video...Cody is running to his left. His tackler grabs him around his waist.Cody plants his right foot. The tacklers momentum makes him leave his feet and his body rotates around Cody's waist.Unfortunately Cody's foot remains planted and his knee and lower leg takes the brunt of the tacklers body. Was a good clean tackle, just very unfortunate physics. It does look like while Cody is falling his foot does not remain planted so hopefully that will reduce the level of the injury.GET WELL SOON CODY!!!!ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!!
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 8, 2007 Author Report Posted September 8, 2007 That had to hurt, i've seen an injury like that when Barry Sanders shook rod woodson in a monday night game back in the day. Not good.
silly365 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 we will all know by this friday. however i too hope its not serious these are just kids playing for the love of the game
BigWolf10 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Wo, what is going on with our 22 4a Qb's. Hope it's not too serious. He is just a jr?
dayton Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Yes, just a junior...I heard a little while ago that he will be out 6-8 weeks with torn ligaments in his ankle. Thankful that its not broken and that he might get to play again this season.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 8, 2007 Author Report Posted September 8, 2007 Playoff time he and Sampere should be back
dayton Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I hope so....I hope the Broncos can respond the way Nederland has....who knows, could be a blessing in disguise. Hope everyone else stays healthy...I hate seeing kids get hurt.
NedDog Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I am glad to hear it is not a break, but torn ligaments still sounds like major pain. Rehab it well Cody, & best of luck in a speedy recovery.

SportsFanatic79 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Yes, just a junior...I heard a little while ago that he will be out 6-8 weeks with torn ligaments in his ankle. Thankful that its not broken and that he might get to play again this season. Is this going to require surgery? Six to eight weeks seems like a really short time for ligament damage. Hope you have a speedy recovery young man.
