Hope Green can remain healthy. It would be really unfortunate to lose two of the major QB's from 22-4A in consecutive weeks. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Green and Sampere families.

WHAT HAPPENED....

Got a good view of this on the video...

Cody is running to his left.

His tackler grabs him around his waist.

Cody plants his right foot.

The tacklers momentum makes him leave his feet and his body rotates around Cody's waist.

Unfortunately Cody's foot remains planted and his knee and lower leg takes the brunt of the tacklers body.

Was a good clean tackle, just very unfortunate physics.

It does look like while Cody is falling his foot does not remain planted so hopefully that will reduce the level of the injury.

That had to hurt, i've seen an injury like that when Barry Sanders shook rod woodson in a monday night game back in the day. Not good.

Yes, just a junior...

I heard a little while ago that he will be out 6-8 weeks with torn ligaments in his ankle. Thankful that its not broken and that he might get to play again this season.

I hope so....I hope the Broncos can respond the way Nederland has....who knows, could be a blessing in disguise. Hope everyone else stays healthy...I hate seeing kids get hurt.

I've had that in both my knees, he should be fine if he stays off it, i hated it, hurt like hell.

Is this going to require surgery?  Six to eight weeks seems like a really short time for ligament damage.  Hope you have a speedy recovery young man.
