horndawg Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 This is always a game where both teams do not want to lose to their friends (in some cases enemies), so you can expect a good one. My take on it and remember i have not been to any games because i no longer live in fannett but sources tell me that EC's offense consists of Thomas left, right, and up the middle. I believe if the Horns are able to contain him and hold him to under 100 yards on the ground, they stand a very good chance of winning. However, the chances are slim that that actually happens, so ill say its an offensive battle down to the wire.I'll take my horns 38-34 in a barnburnerI suggest that if you are a person that decides to attend games that are the "game of the week" that you go on down to Longhorn Stadium and watch the 2007 edition of the Rice Bowl.
HFLONGHORN Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Thomas was good enough to beat us last year (pretty much single handed). But, it wasn't all that easy for EC. HF was in control most of the game and lost it late. It was a very good game, and I expect we will see more of the same this year. Go Horns, beat the Bucs.
Guest Orangeboy Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Should be a good one. I'll go with HF this year since their offense is scoring some points.
24 over par Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 should be a good one h-f in a battle
dav-joel Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 This game will show how far the Horns have come. HF by 3 TD's.
HFHORNS Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Watch out Bucs....The Horns are gonna take this one.
Guest A-TOWN Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 THE RICE BOWL 2007, should be a dandy
Guest Kelly Football Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I'm going to says HF by 6.
hamshirefan Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 after seeing how the orangefield game went im definately going with the horns on this one
DotsonBCRT08 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Iam saying EC wins in overtime 14 to 7 over HF
bmtfootball Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 EC is too dependent on 1 player...he's a stud but the supporting cast just isn't there this year...HF takes this one!
BadMedicine Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Iam saying EC wins in overtime 14 to 7 over HFIt will be a higher scoring game than that. If Orangefield scored 14 on EC, then HF will score at least 28.
ECBuc08 Posted September 9, 2007 Author Report Posted September 9, 2007 It will be tough to win at HF, but I think EC will give it everything they have in that game. It is going to be down to the wire and whoever makes the least amount of mistakes takes this one.
SteelerCzy Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Have to support our 24-AA rep EC in this one, EC-28 HF-27
Guest Baseball1234 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 EC is too dependent on 1 player...he's a stud but the supporting cast just isn't there this year...HF takes this one!How can we say Ec depends on one player? I will admit Tramain Thomas is a top notch athlete, and thrives under pressure! but EC has a Top notch defense, Donte Raymond and Vance McDonald at ends, and Isiah White at linebacker! and Tramain at F/S and with Raymond running the ball, he will be hard to stop! HF has the strength to win, but do they have the speed? HF is only going to try to run the ball down Ec's throats! Ec has alot of talent, speed and most of all "HEART"! Paul Trammell "star linebacker" is suppose to make a surprise appreance this week at the game! He will be looking to make a statement this game, after coming back from a injury! But i will take Ec in this one! dont know by how much! but it will be a good game!
KFDM COOP Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 **Small School Game of the Week**East Chambers at Hamshire-Fannett
whsalum Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 This is an established ,experienced program vs one that is trying to learn to win again. While HF will gain a little from the home field EC will win the ball game.I'm not sure I buy the one man arguement but when he has the ball in his hands he is definitely special.EC by 10 because of their team speed.

I've given OF credit but McDonald saw limited action in that game and Trammell saw none. I guarantee if both those boys had been on the defensive unit the result would have been different.I don't know if the coaches will let Trammell play against HF even though he's foaming at the mouth waiting to hit someone.
Wes57 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Hamshire Fannett has a big, tough ballclub and alot of talent. They will suprise in their district. They beat EC in this one
EDBLU Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 If HF had got any first downs last year in the second half they would have won this game. Defense cannot allow Thomas any big plays he had two long TD runs last year. Play consistant offense and defense and they will win big 31-14 !!
whsalum Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Thats how people with speed beat you. They make big plays.Thomas is like a time bomb, sooner or later he will break one. This should be a really good game but I like the Bucs in a close one.
