Sounds like a good Hollywood movie, or at least a decent SyFy channel original.

1st storm, Marco, most likely will make landfall south of New Orleans.

2nd storm, Laura, is the one to watch. More time to develope in the warm gulf waters, more powerful. The models are converging between Baton Rouge and Sabine Pass. Although more time usually means it could shift again.

Weather channel is suggesting 90 to 100 mph winds. But only a few models have it reaching low level cat 2.

7pm advisory shifted again to the east. Most models track landfall south of Lafayette. What was said in the other topic about cat 3 in PA is always a possibility. But then again its 2020 and anything can happen. It could turn north and hit Pensacola.

Prepare dont panic.

Yep, mandatory evacuation in the morning.

I am guessing that Bridge city and most of orange county will soon follow.

Everybody does not have this opportunity but if you have a place to go and can get out, try to beat the rush.

Then let’s hope this thing turns and people can complain how about evacuating for no reason.

Hurricane Watch has been issued for Chambers, Jefferson, and Orange Counties, southern Liberty County, Bolivar Peninsula, and Galveston Island. The rest of SETX approx. south of 190 and east of I-45 is under a Tropical Storm Watch.

This is when I’m glad to live on an island. We get 4 or 5 storms a year but we never have to worry about should we/shouldn’t we evacuate. It’s just board the windows and wait for the storm to pass through (but hearing a 180 mph storm is something I don’t want again. At that point it’s just a jet engine knocking at the windows.)
