Guest tigersvoice Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 What were your biggest surprises (area wise) from week 1 outcomes? Here are mine in no particular order.Lumberton 41 - New Caney 6Kountze 31 - Hull Daisetta 14Buna 62 - Burkeville 6 ? Nederland 35 - Forest Brook 12 (with the Sophomore QB)
PURPLE 4EVER Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Lumberton's DOMINATING win is the biggest surprise!!!WAY TO GO RAIDERS!!!
Yeoj Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 My biggest suprise is PNG has yet to score a touchdown. The QB is too good IMO for this to be happening. Come on Barnett time to scheme a little more around Tatum.
KFDM COOP Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 For the 100th time, the field conditions were the worst i've seen in a long time after a 2.50" inch rain right before the game. ONCE AGAIN NEITHER team could do much on the ground.
kicker Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 WOS only 6 points ??? Well, at least its better than no points.
VPiratefan2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 vidor hanging with St. Pius....what a game.....St. Pius is a very good team....only won by 6...really impressive from vidor
Yeoj Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I have never seen so many people try to make losing into winning. A loss is a loss, it doesn't matter that your team stayed with them most of the game. Whenever it was time to make a play to win a game the other team did it.
football02 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I think its Hardin over Groveton. Groveton was rank number 8 in the coaches poll and nobody saw this coming expecially 37-15. People need to start recognizing how good the Hornets might be, remember thet got one of the best coaches in the state and you can already see a big difference in 2 games.
jake94 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Didn't St. Pius lose their QB early in the game? From what I have heard, he is their offensive stud. That is probably the reason that the game was close.
AggiesAreWe Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 For the 100th time, the field conditions were the worst i've seen in a long time after a 2.50" inch rain right before the game. ONCE AGAIN NEITHER team could do much on the ground.Woa, woa, woa, settle now, settle. We heard ya, trust me. It's going to be alright.Obviously, the horses in Orange aren't mudders. ;DIt's good to have a good ole mudder, they sure know how to take care of ya.
WOS92 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I have never seen so many people try to make losing into winning. A loss is a loss, it doesn't matter that your team stayed with them most of the game. Whenever it was time to make a play to win a game the other team did it. ...And from the skies, there was a loud "Hosannah!"
1motime Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 For the 100th time, the field conditions were the worst i've seen in a long time after a 2.50" inch rain right before the game. ONCE AGAIN NEITHER team could do much on the ground. no rain here ;D
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 My biggest suprise is PNG has yet to score a touchdown. The QB is too good IMO for this to be happening. Come on Barnett time to scheme a little more around Tatum. He afraid to go to the spread, until he goes to the spread they will not be successful
Guest Hatchet Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 No way Groveton is a top 20 1A team. Kountze over Daisetta 31-14 after being shut out 22 - 0 last year. HD is ranked higher this year than at any point last year.
Wes57 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I have to agree that Kountze beating HD. Alot of people said it could have been alot worse than it was.
