NetCat Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 Well most of the teams around here lost their game week one. But it didn't hit our area as bad as was predicted. So here's to hoping that maybe we can get back on track next week... Quote
Bobcatfan4life Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 Gary Stelly has been driving around the orange area this morning and posting videos on the kogt Facebook page. Drove by WOS and said the scoreboard is down and the goalposts were twisted. Bulldogs92 and TrojanMoJo 2 Quote

aTmfan06 Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 Hopefully everything will get rolling next week. My family that still lives in the area was blessed with no storm damage. I will also be blessed with watch some football Friday night in Giddings. Quote

NetCat Posted August 28, 2020 Author Report Posted August 28, 2020 Anyone have an update on how long the area is going to be without power? I've heard 2 days all the way up to 2 weeks... Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 28, 2020 Report Posted August 28, 2020 I saw the pics Ashly Elam posted on Facebook/Twitter from several places (damaged athletic facilities), go check em out. Quote

My understanding is that is for full restoration of power grid. I've seen that some areas should be ready in 2-3 days. They are out in full force. Central mall parking lot is completely packed with trucks. Quote

RedJollyRoger Posted August 29, 2020 Report Posted August 29, 2020 I live in Mauriceville, for our area...it's extremely similar to Hurricane Rita. The farther East you go (towards Orange) the worse it gets. As bad as it seems, we were very fortunate considering what just rolled through here. Quote
