Go Powdrill!
BearWolf Posted September 12, 2007 Author Report Posted September 12, 2007 He's an excellent reciever. Real nifty after the catch
82 5A State Champs Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 It's really nice to have someone to complement our Rushing duo. I believe this is the best "all around" WB team I've seen in, gosh, 25 years! It will be interesting to see how we stack up against a team like Westfield. I don't think they have seen a better balanced team from us since we've been playing them. Come to think of it, I don't think we've ever beaten them. Oh well, there's a first time for everything. I guess if we beat them, the "experts" would just say that Westfield was having an off year, and still we would get "no respect!"
BearWolf Posted September 12, 2007 Author Report Posted September 12, 2007 Hopefully, we can get # 4 back on the offensive side of the ball to give Powdrill some help. They are looking for someone else to step up at safety so this can happen. Number 4 Jordan Garrett ia a big strong possession type that can move the chains for you. He brings a defensive mentality on the offensive side of the ball. A perfect compliment for the deep threat Powdrill.
82 5A State Champs Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Man I'm tellin ya, this is probably the best WB team I've seen in a long time. An offense that can move the ball on the groung or in the air, and a defense that is very well rounded that seems to be able to stop the run and defend the pass. this could mean a long playoff run this year, if Coach Chip can keep our boys healthy and on the field. Our only weakness seems to be depth.
BearWolf Posted September 12, 2007 Author Report Posted September 12, 2007 Three starters have not played yet, I think that one will be back this week. No. 87 should be ready to go. He's another 6'-5" DE with speed

BearWolf Posted September 12, 2007 Author Report Posted September 12, 2007 Yes, indeed. the kid is a sprinter on the track team. I watched him work out at least twice a week this summer during summer track. It's just amazing to see someone his size run as fast as a good tailback.
82 5A State Champs Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 SWEEEET! Any word on when he might join the starting lineup?
BearWolf Posted September 12, 2007 Author Report Posted September 12, 2007 not sure, #10 is playing in his spot now. # 10 Blake Chavis is actually a LB in this defense when #87 is at DE.
82 5A State Champs Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 I guess if once everybody is healthy and playing in their assigned positions, we should be very sound defensively!
raidernaytion Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 What about Lumberton? We will earn our respect this year.
sig220 Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Do not look for 87 anytime soon. Back problems.
