Guest WBFan09 Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 How much of an edge do teams have that didnt have to wake up early and go to school today...for instance West Brook didnt have school but they were still able to practice yesterday...Will it affect the games much tonight?
besbolbenbedygud Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 In the past when WB had a school day off and a game that night (ex: the fair day comes every year) the staff made the kids show up at the field house early (around regular school time) to avoid distractions..(keep'em off the streets feed them their meals)........i would bet the same happened for this situation........as far as advantage?? I would bet Coaches would rather kids be in class (coaches are all about keeping to the rutine)
Htexans90 Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 no advantage. if anything it can become a slight disadvantage. sleeping in all morning is not always a good thing. plus its always good to get breakfast in you.
24 over par Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 when kids are not in school they sometimes show up for the game tired. i bet the coachs would rather they be in school
bleacher_bum Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 I agree. A steady routine is the best plan. Changing things up can cause confusion and lack of concentration. Not to mention superstitions...Alot of coaches are superstitious. Same, same, same....(if you're winning)
Bucster Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 I agree it is a much greater disadvantage for the team that has a "day off" before a game. Better to stick with your routine than let the kids stay at home eating cheetos and playing with their X-Boxes.
