Grad' date=' you have to agree![/quote']

And where did someone say that I disagreed? I'll scream from the highest mountain that WO-S is one of the top teams in the state. When I tell someone here in the Houston area that knows anything about football that I graduated from WO-S, eyes grow wide and the neck straightens up.

It is really great work by WOS87, but it only confirms what we all already knew.

P.S. Could you tell us when the list will be updated to reflect the new district affiliations of those on the list?

Thats a sign that they are about to pass out from standing there for hours listening to how great ya'll were in years past.....................Its like at a wedding when the groomsman pass out becasue they lock their legs from standing there so long......same reaction you get. Its not AWWWW your experiencing its ;omg AWWWW please will you stop talking so I can leave.............................

They were pretty good. Even in 1985 when WOS was 5A they played the number 1 team in the Country Yates pretty dang close.

Dang West of the Trinity teams :o

Its not really a relative comparison, actually. Some of those teams haven't played a quarter of the games that some of the others have. WOS has almost 200 less games than MOJO. Harker Heights has only played 60 games, where there are teams on there that have played almost 900. The percentages are going to be different.

I am not intending this as a bash against any of those teams. WOS' record is very impressive, I am not contesting that. I'm just pointing out that because these are averages that are posted, that the teams with less games total have an advantage because it takes less wins to acheive a higher average. I was suggesting do averages for 500 games and above played for example or 500 games and under.

Or, maybe they're at a disadvantage, since each loss has more of an impact on their percentage than teams with a lot of games...

I think the point you're making is that a more accurate picture of a team's winning percentage is by comparing like-amount of games. That's a valid argument... To me, it's very impressive for WOS to be at the top of the list, but it will be more impressive if they can remain there for a long period of time. There was a lot of work put into getting them where they are, and they beat a bunch of solid teams along the way; hopefully, they can stay there for a long while. :)
