Well, it was a good effort for the boys. They need to hold their heads up and be proud 'cause the Mustangs definitely knew the Bruins were there! 2-1 is not a bad start for the season. Just gives us some vital experience before district!

INT.........ball game......wow what a game............I would have to have seen the kid be in motion to complain more......but I always thought when the offense was offsides the wistle blew the play dead right then............that play would have changed many things in the last 5 minutes

We got robbed by WF refs i guess it woulnt look normal for wf to be 1-2. good game bruins! The numbers are there.

kinda makes me wonder if there was actually a penalty on our 70 yard TD that got called back! Hometown referee's....man I tell ya!

I don't want to appear to be blaiming a call for the loss......I'll take the lose, but I could use some closure on the illegal procedure call, called after the play went 70 yards down the field, and West Brook had the ball at the 4 yard line.........The anouncers didn't even see the flag untill the play ended??

WB did exactley what i expected them to do great game by the bruins on both sides of the ball. WE GOT CHEATED LOL.

hence the expression...Hometown Referee! KG03bruins was right when he said it wouldn't look right for Westfield to open the season 1-2....so I guess we get the loss as a result of it. :-[

Well, I guarantee you that if the game had been played at Durley instead of in Spring....the outcome would have been different! WB definitely showed up to play tonight, and regardless of the score, I think we earned their respect!

Not likely to happen as they will probably go in Division 1, and WB will most likely go Division 2.

I'm going by what I'm reading and the score. The only reason I said that is because WB seems like they can't ever beat Westfield( 4 years in a row). I'm pulling for the Brook and I'm a graduate of WB, so if your looking for someone to be mad at, you need to look somewhere else.

That's right, boy the UIL. They have all of those teams in North Houston in Region 2.
