the NCAA/Uil has written this rule for a reason and they want it followed.

not following the rules of the game as a official/coach opens you up to all kinds of liabilities. 

just because everybody agrees to it does not make it right.

When you say "this area" what particular chapter are you referring to?

BTW, I have seen for myself and have heard of running clock situations in many areas across the state.

I just hope some folks never measure a 2 X 4 board.   

Btw, most building codes call for 2x4 studs set 16” apart.  Bet you can’t find a home that has actual 2x4’s in it.  So what’s the deal?   A little common sense, much like a running clock.
