Lukethadrifter Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 Been laying low this year because my boys in 22AAA have not made much noise. Looks like Coldspring is the class of the district right now. Who do they play Friday? The next 5 spots are pretty much up for grabs. The remaining 5 teams have a combined 3 wins! Look for all of these teams to make big strides in the coming weeks. Or at least I hope they do! Good luck. P.S.- Where are the 22AAA teams playing this week?Luke has spoken!
slimbo7722 Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 layin low and not payin attention..... cause liberty is 2-1 and cold spring is 2-1 slendora has 1 win and the rest are 0fer
Guest upsidedowninsideout Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 District finish will be as follows.....ColdspringLiberty / ClevelandSplendoraShepherd TarkingtonColdspring - Best team in districtLiberty - Coach not renewed, trying to make last year a good oneCleveland - New staff, good athletes... needs time to get things togetherSplendora - Not the same team as last year, no leadershipShepherd - more athletes than Tarkington, tuff pre-district scheduleTarkington - Lost 4yr starter at QB... need to start offseason early
ncplaya Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 Tarkington did not lose their 4 year starter and if you think Cleveland is going to take second you need to lay off the drugs. They will be good in a year or two but will not compete this year. ColspringLibertySplendorathe rest will bring up the rear.
Guest sleeper02 Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 from over here in 21AAA, it looks like this for the 1st round of the playoffsColdspring vs. WOSSplendora vs. SilsbeeLiberty vs. Kirbyville
Guest upsidedowninsideout Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 Tony the Tiger, get off the prairie.... I heard that Brooks broke his leg. Even with him T-town cant compete...
ncplaya Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 nope, just a high ankle sprain. hes ok. who could it be? B.R., D.K., R.T., or T.B.????
Guest dailynews Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 1 Coldspring2 Liberty3/4 Cleveland / Splendora5 Shepherd6 TarkingtonCleveland and Splendora will battle it out in week one of district for the final playoff spot. Coldspring and Liberty will seal the first two spots up.
Guest coch_hound_sugga Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Im not sure who will go to the playoffs out of this district, we will know week 10. I will give you 2 guesses on who will not be going....One rides on a ship and one lives in a pasture...
Hallo Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Anthony Brooks is still the QB and Tarkington may very well I mean will get first place!!!!!If your not first your last, sorry to all you last place teams who dont get first
bball17 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 other than cold city and liberty all other teams in 22-3a are weak thus far... tark needs to pass more and run the spread offense and splendora needs to play tougher.. once cleveland learns their offense they should be pretty unstoppable but expect a rough road until then
1KatKiller Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Tarkington and Shepherd will battle it out for last place, just like last year.
Guest ndn09 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 we will surely find out who is going to win the district this year.
Guest Rooster Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Luke it is good to see you're still alive.
Lukethadrifter Posted September 20, 2007 Author Report Posted September 20, 2007 Ahh heck, thanks Rooster. Just cant get to fired up til' district starts I guess. Gonna go watch my boys from Coldspring take on Diboll Friday. Should be a good game. Good luck to all in 22AAA this week, especially RT, BR, DK, and DN in Cleveland. Hope you guys get that first win Friday!Luke has spoken!
Guest Rooster Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 That's gonna be a heck of a game. I heard the Dibol team is pretty tough and deep this year. You know Cold Spring has always got athletes. Good luck to all 22AAA.
Lukethadrifter Posted September 20, 2007 Author Report Posted September 20, 2007 Heard that Diboll is even better than they were last year. Thats hard to imagine.
pancaker66 Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Luke, we were wondering where you were this year. Need to get in on some more posts.
Guest upsidedowninsideout Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 UPDATED DISTRICT STANDINGSC-SPRING 2-2LIBERTY 2-2SPLENDORA 2-2TARKINGTON 0-3SHEPHERD 0-4CLEVELAND 0-4DISTRICT COMBINED RECORD = 6-17C-SPRING OPPONENTS RECORD = 11-3 LIBERTY OPPONENTS RECORD = 6-7 SPLENDORA OPPONENTS RECORD = 5-9 TARKINGTON OPPONENTS RECORD = 12-0 SHEPHERD OPPONENTS RECORD = 14-1CLEVELAND OPPONENTS RECORD= 11-1There might be some suprises come district play. Do not let records fool you. Quality of opponent needs to be taken into consideration when sizing up a team. Will be a nice race to the playoffs. Notice the panthers and wildcats arent playing anyone and are getting all the hype. If they were playing the same opponents as Shepherd and Tarkington they would be winless as well. It would be nice to get Orangefield and Anahuac instead of Crockett and Diboll.
biggen Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Liberty and splendora both play diboll....we all know records mean nothing till you get to district
Guest sleeper02 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 It is a safe bet to say that all the 22-3A teams play tough non-district schedulesespecially coldspring
Guest dailynews Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Its not safe to say that Liberty and Splendora have tuff schedules. Getting some easy wins to make themselves feel better. I guess thats the CAT way.
Guest sleeper02 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 the only suprise come district time will be when tarkington beats cleveland and shepherd
hangemhigh Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 i could see tark beating shepherd, but i don't think they have the athletes to beat cleveland when cleveland is coached well.
