McLovin Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Hey I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about Sam McGuffie. He plays RB for Cy-Fair I think. How do you all think he compares to past prospects? Personally, I think he is phenomenal. ??? ??? ???
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 saw him versus stratford (andrew luck---qb going to stanford) ...yes i think the best and most exciting RB in the state. he got hurt in that game but he's going to help Michigan out alot in the coming years
lonestar Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 I wouldn't be surprised to see him decommit from UM.
bleacher_bum Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 I wouldn't be surprised to see him decommit from UM.I was thinking the same thing...
McLovin Posted September 19, 2007 Author Report Posted September 19, 2007 I wonder how far he'll take his hurde move. I hope he doesn't leave it in high school ball. ??? ???
Guest christglorified Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 I had an opportunity to see him play at reliant last year in the playoffs and he is dope. But so small. Hard to see him at a school like mich...maybe more like texas tech
CSI-Texas Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Was on the field four weeks ago when we (The Woodlands) scrimmaged Cy-Fair. On the second play he took it about 60 yards, he is quick and fast. Not very tall but he can turn on a dime and can accelerate. Has some huge thighs.
Gasilla Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 They said in the Stratford game that he was 5'11". Don't know if that's true or not, but they also said he runs a 4.3 forty. I'm sure Michigan will find a spot for him.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 I wouldn't be surprised to see him decommit from UM.it wouldnt surprise me either way. wouldnt be a bad combo with him a mallett running the show, throw in some good wr's who knows what could happen---along with a new coach next year.
24 over par Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 4.3 lots of people would be willing to find him a spot
Gasilla Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 4.3 lots of people would be willing to find him a spotLOL... tends to make you very forgiving on physical short comings...
Guest coch_hound_sugga Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 He is the real deal.... Fastest white boy I have every seen
lcm2007ms Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 I wonder how far he'll take his hurde move. I hope he doesn't leave it in high school ball. ??? ???ya, there's a cool video on youtube of him hurdling over a defender. just type in his name and it will come up.
Roll_Left15 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 I saw that not too long ago, and that's one thing he needs to stop doing. One puts themselves in a very vonerable position by leaping. I hope he doesn't make the mistake of trying to do that in college ball.
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Or actually play a good defense.
Guest christglorified Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 It burns me up when our in state talent decides to go out of state to play their college ball. Home grown needs to stay home! Im sure mack brown could use a running back that could stay out of jail!

It doesn't matter how good of an athlete they are if they can't stay out of trouble, what good are they?
OUFan22 Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 It burns me up when our in state talent decides to go out of state to play their college ball. Home grown needs to stay home! Im sure mack brown could use a running back that could stay out of jail! They all can't go to in-state schools because there are too many athletes in Texas. I'm from Oklahoma and am a huge OU fan, and have to say that Oklahoma doesn't have the quantity of athletes that Texas does because of population. Therefore, we must go out-of-state to recruit. Also, some in-state kids just don't want to go to the in-state schools. Texas and A&M will always get their share of great athletes. Most often the college coaches make or break a team by their ability to teach and motivate.
