the wise one Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 what team in the area has the best shot at going to state?
jmspears3 Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Let me take a guess.....Someone will say HJ : :
the wise one Posted September 21, 2007 Author Report Posted September 21, 2007 lol ya probably but i really think ozen and Big Sandy are probably the only ones that have a realistic shot
Trad Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 KFDM Coop, I do not know how much you know about basketball, but I will agree with you about Ozen.
CATMAN Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 COOP the man about basketball.----------he your HUCKLEBERRY ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
whsalum Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Ozen will have a great shot, good coach and a wealth of talent returning.HJ will be a lot deeper overall and will have a good shot. They may miss the big guy inside more than we think, but they will definitely be a contender.Big Sandy has all the pieces to the puzzle, starting with a very good big man.I honestly thought West Hardin was as good as any of the 1A schools I saw at the drum last year.

Itsallaboutthegame00 Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 I would have to say HJ,EC,Ozen, and Big Sandy
hj_hawk_60 Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Ozen, HJ, EC, Kountze, Big Sandy all have a good shot at makin it... you can never count any of these teams out in basketball... especially Kountze and Ozen...and until someone knocks em off HJ is the 3 A champs... so you cant count them out either...and Big Sandy is sposed to be pretty good this year, so i figure they have a good shot as well...
the wise one Posted September 22, 2007 Author Report Posted September 22, 2007 hopefully basketball this year is represented as good as it was last year and there are a lot of good teams in setx this year hopefully everyone stays healthy and hungry all year long
whsalum Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 Kountze and EC will both have good clubs this year but I don't know if they will have the depth or experience to make it to the drum. The Lions will start 4 new players while EC will have to replace 2 big pieces of that puzzle.Thomas may be the best guard in 2-a but it sure was nice when he could dish it to Guillory.Leday was also underated on the defensive end.Arp and several more clubs on the upper end of region 3 may have the edge this year.I hope not but they got some kids up that way that can play.

2qwik4u Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Big Sandy has a great oppurtunity to turn it on this year and make it all the way. Leadership is going to be a key factor in this progression towards state, with 6 seniors leaving and only two on the team this year someone is going to have to step up. Good Luck Guys!!!!!!!!!!!
whsalum Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I was impressed with the big kids leadership this summer.I don't think thats gonna be a problem for that group. They looked like they knew it was his team.
