I know this is a football thread, but just heard that there was a shooting near or at Central High School. Anyone have any info on this?

Shooting Off Campus At Central High

KFDM has received phone calls about a shooting at Central High School in Beaumont. 

KFDM has new details about a shooting near Central High School we first told you about in a live report at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Officer Crystal Holmes told reporter Jessica Holloway police received a report of a shooting off campus at about 12:15 p.m. Friday. A student who was shot off campus ran into Central High School for help. The campus was immediately placed on lockdown.

Beaumont police found someone matching the suspect's description at Angelina and Duperier. He was also suffering from a gunshot wound. Police have recovered a weapon.

BPD is working with the Beaumont School District Police Department to investigate. It's the first time they've worked together on a major case since the creation of the school police force. Officer Holmes says several officers have worked as Beaumont police and they're fortunate to be able to work with officers who have that kind of experience.

Officer Holmes says three streets near the school are blocked off. The scene wehre the incident occured on Pecos Street, the scene in the school where the victim ran and the scene on Angelina Street where the suspect was taken into custody.

I was at the intersection of 11th and Laurel when all hell broke out. Police car nearly wiped out a car going thru the red light. Looked like TVC driving the police car.

I'm pretty close to Central, I hear the band everyday, by the way they are pretty good.
