KFDM COOP Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 This will be a dandy. Got to go with Newton though.
bleacher_bum Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 This will be a dandy. Got to go with Newton though. Its hard to pick against em.Good luck Newton.
NOTWEN Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 hey is burch hurt or something ? he has not been running the ball that much
k-villeballa Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 Eagles will be to much.I can't agree with you Wildcat 08. Carthage will be a test for Newton. But if your prediction is right, kudos to Newton. When we played them we had alot of chances to really put them away, but made some mistakes that really made the game close.I'll say Newton in a nailbitter.
Guest Ozen Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Carthage is good but Newton is a little better.
k-villeballa Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Carthage is good but Newton is a little better.Have you seen Carthage play???
KFDM COOP Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Crockett seems to be playing better than Carthage so far this year.
k-villeballa Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Crockett seems to be playing better than Carthage so far this year. Why?? Because they defeated Newton. Who else has Crockett played Coop besides Shepard?
KFDM COOP Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 They beat Kilgore (4A). Diboll is playing very well to.
Guest pilot Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Haven't seen Carthage play but talking to some folks involved in the Carthage school system it sounds like Carthage will be throwing the ball more than they normally do. If anyone saw the Silsbee game you'll know that Newton's defensive backfield (and Newton in general) lucked out when Silsbee dropped 3 passes that should have easily been caught. The point being if Newton's defensive backs don't perform and if Carthage has sucess playing "pass and catch" then the outcome may be negative for Newton. On the flip side, Newton's defensive line can put pressure on QB's causing hurried passes and Newton has some success getting a hand on PAT's and Field Goals...Sooo.... I'm guessing closer that expected but Newton by a "few" at the end...

SETXsports Broadcaster Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Newton by 14, if Newton plays like they should, by 21 if Cathage slips up any ;D

Like I said before, Newton will be tested and this game will definely have them ready for district. I'm rooting for Newton, but Carthage is dangerous and Newton don't need to turn the ball over much because Carthage offense is really good. This will probably be the fastest team they have faced so far.
WH-BackInThaDay Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 I'm going with Newton by a few. This is going to be an exciting game with a lot of players that are fun to watch. The caliber of ahtletes that both of these schools usually produce are unbelievable.
