Guest KHS 89 Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 I watched Kingwood vs Klein & last night Kingwood vs College Park and was amazed at their missed and non-existent tackles!! ??? ??? ???Coach McDougald needs to lean on his defensive coordinator (Billy Russell) to show these boys footage of how to tackle. The number of missed or improper tackle attempts was down right embarrassing and had me cringing. They will not find the win column with that kind of performance.And..... btw - someone should let the band director know that it would be nice for the fans and players to hear the fight song when a big play is made. I don't know who told him to only play it after a Kingwood score. If I am not mistaken, Coach McDougald played for Port Neches-Groves through his high school years. Now there's a school that wears their fight song (Cherokee) out for every occasion possible. It sure gets the team and fans fired up. ;D ;D It would be nice to see some enthusiasm from the Kingwood fans!
Yeoj Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 From looking at the stats, the QB rarely pitches the ball. He almost doubles the carries of the next man to him. Not much of an option if the QB keeps the ball everytime.

They had a lot of seniors and its taking some time to get the younger kids and that offense going.. They should compete for a playoff spot in their district.
