AggiesAreWe Posted November 10, 2020 Report Posted November 10, 2020 In order to help slow the spread of COVID-19, the UIL had relaxed policies during the regular season to allow livestream broadcasts of high school football games. However, the UIL recently published a notice that live stream broadcasts will be NOT be allowed during the 2020 UIL Football Playoffs. According to the notice, UIL’s agreement with its broadcast partners (NFHS and Texan Live) strictly prohibits the use of live streaming sites including Facebook Live, Instagram Live, Twitter Live and YouTube Live to stream football playoff games. This will also be the case for 6A and 5A playoffs. NFHS and Texan Live have had exclusive rights to video broadcasts of UIL football playoffs for several years now. So schools and other entities cannot video broadcast like they were allowed in the regular season. Quote
