WH-BackInThaDay Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 This are supposed to be positively expressed opinions, ya'll. If you feel someone's stadium is sub-par, and care to exaggerate, this is not the thread for you.
bleacher_bum Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Barbers Hill has a very nice feild. It also has the nicest press box I've ever been in.
WH-BackInThaDay Posted September 23, 2007 Author Report Posted September 23, 2007 Personally I have to go with Justin Northwest. It was a 4A (may be 5A now) high school north of Fort Worth about 20 minutes. It is in a newly established, upper class community. It has a 3 level press box, concrete bleachers, and all of the buildings are accented with brick. The restrooms have marble on the counter tops and there are lcd televisions above the concession stands showing the game, which are build into the backside of the bleachers. The scoreboard is awesome and the field is down in a bowl which is nice for players in a very windy part of Texas. Locally, Silsbee has a really nice facility, especially for a 3A school.
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Deer Park field. I love the way that jumbo-tron sits over that glittery turf. Well it look glittery from where I was. I love Thorn Stadium (Aldine). Very nice. Looks like a tinted press box and has a whole lot of room. I like WO-S stadium too with the concrete bleachers? I havn't been there in a while, but this is what I remember. Very comfortable! But that North Shore stadium is in a league of its own. Verrrry nice!

PURPLE 4EVER Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 North Shore is spectacular. The double deck "mini Rice stadium" Cy Fair uses is also tops.Once they finish PN-G's stadium, it might just top the list. The pictures in the proposal just look unbelievable.
82 5A State Champs Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Galena Park ISD (North Shore) stadium is one of the nicest in the state that I've been to. Also Deer Park and Cy Fairbanks ISD stadium are pretty awesome! ;D
tvc184 Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Galena Park/North Shore is the nicest one that I have been to. The one fault in it is capacity.

82 5A State Champs Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Stallworth Stadium in Baytown has been updated with artificial turf and a Jumbo-Tron, and is also a very comfortable for the fans to enjoy a HS game!
baddog Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 The best one I have visited is Galena Park/North Shore. UNbelievable for a high school. I would like to go to this one someday. It seats 11,000....Cy-Fair ISD, north of Houston.
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Yea, I like stalworth. When my Jags was last there, the jumbo-tron wasnt' working. But overall, the way the beachers are made are very inovative! I was very impressed.

rmac Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 The Berry Center at Cy-Fair ISD is a great stadium. They also have a great basketball arena in the same complex that seats 6,000.

baddog Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 I guess this is off topic becaue I have not been here, but these pics are neat. $75 million for the entire complex. Could be the nicest in the country, I don't know.
Yeoj Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Kincaide Complex in Dallas when we were evacuated for Rita. Heck of a stadium and at the game they had maybe 3000 people between the two schools. The stadium holds 15000.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 waco isd is nice too. go there for alot of Lufkin playoff games.

BearWolf Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 it also has a banquet facility. Outstanding complex. My son lives in the neighborhood and he took me by there near the time constuction was completed. It's more impressive seeing it for yourself.
BearWolf Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 if the bond passes BISD should end up with something decent for 30 mil. As soon as a design is settled on I should get a sneak peak
