EAGLEFOREVER
Deweyville coming off their first playoff win, winning in convincing fashion 44-8. This week they face Chilton. What say ye? Me, Deweyville in a close one.
Greezy
Chilton is not good but they'll be physical and disciplined. Deweyville has a really good shot.
RedJollyRoger
I agree, they are a physical team with numbers similar to us. I believe our defense is better than most realize. Hopefully we can feed the T and eat clock and scoreboard!
DP#1FAN
Dave Campbells 2A team of the week. Pirates remain focused they have a shot at moving on in the playoffs. The Pirate defense is solid. I'll be in Tomball Saturday night for hopefully a Pirate team making more history!
GATA!
In 2012 didn't the pirates win a couple playoff games?

However, that was because they were paired with one of those "BYE" districts and received a bye into the area round. GATA!

Corona_with_Lime
I think this is gonna be a good game. I like the Pirates chances (the ones from DV). I said last week that if HD and DV get past WS and Cushing, they’ve got a clear path to the regional semi’s. The Bobcats couldn’t pull it off but WS will stroll past Sims Bowie by 20+ points. The battle of the Pirates will be closer but i think The ‘Ville brings home a close victory. And if that does happen, they’ll catch Tenaha or Bremond who aren’t invincible this year.... especially a week after they beat up on each other. (I honestly think Tenaha turns it into a track meet and takes Bremond to the woodshed) Good luck Deweyville from HD!! Hagar
The few Deweyville teams I’ve seen have been pretty physical also. I’m certainly backing the Pirates 100%. Make it happen guys. ☠️☠️☠️ RedJollyRoger

Bremond couldn't stop the thunder and lightening of the 5 different running backs Tenaha put on the field. The only thing that has stopped Tenaha is turnovers which led directly to their 2 losses. The Tigers are loaded, like never before, at the skilled positions. Corona_with_Lime

RedJollyRoger
Well, we don't consider anyone to be a cupcake...we're tested each week, but thank you for the well wishes. Congratulations on your W last night!

Tenaha is the only 2A D2 team I’ve seen that is remotely comparable to Mart athletically. If DV gets past Chilton (which i think they will) they won’t be a pushover for the Tigers. They’re physical and grind on you. Slow down the game with 4 yards and a cloud of dust approach. To compete with Tenaha either of these teams will have to limit the big plays. 17 yard first downs are ok but when they end up going for 67 yard TD’s.... it’ll be a long night.
