f150craig Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Does anyone have some stats on the Lumberton defense? I have not made any games this season but continue to hear how strong the defense looks.
JS Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 The Raider defense looked very strong against the mighty Cleveland Indian offense.
f150craig Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Posted September 24, 2007 Can they handle the Dayton speed?
dayton Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 I heard they were faster than last year.
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 They are, and they dont' arm tackle. They hit. But this is going by stats and by them destroying BH in scrimmage. I think Dayton will move the ball, but not as easily as they think.
Guest maverick24 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 The Starting Defense has not given up a point so far. New Caney didn't have positive yards untill late in the 4th when the 3rd and 4th string were in thats when they scored. BC scored the one TD on a Interception returned for the score. Cleveland didn't score. Dayton will move the ball and I think they will score, I dont think it will be easy. though.
jake94 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 If I were a wagering man, and I have been known to be... then I would wager that the scoreless streak will end in the first quarter Friday night.
raidernaytion Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Our defense will hurt Dayton!!!
raidernation Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 I don't know about "HURT" dayton but i think we will contain them more than they anticpate. In three games lumberton D has given up a total of 6 points and 310 yards. Rush Pass TotalNC 36 35 71BC 52 90 142Cle 79 18 97

Somebody is definately playing defense.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Total 167 143 310 8)Thats pretty good for 3 games. Somebody is definately playing defense. There is a chance that these stats will be matched by the first half. The scoreless streak will be over very quickly.Lumberton just hasn't seen the speed like they will this Friday, and they can't replicate that in practice.

raidernation Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 LOL! We have certainly faced different caliber opponents. Bottom line is we are much better on D than last year and better on offense and hope to stay in the game, unlike last year. We also have to protect the ball on offense and play special teams. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GAME!
Guest ndn09 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I don't know Dayton has got that great RB A.J. Dugat.
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I don't know Dayton has got that great RB A.J. Dugat. He's the QB...
Guest ndn09 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Raider Defense is pretty good don't yall think
bronco1 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Raider Defense is pretty good don't yall thinkThey shut Cleveland down. I was at that game for a little, I find it amazing that Cleveland had any positive yardage. Lumberton was eatin their lunch and they had like 3 illegal participation penalties in the first half.
Guest ndn09 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Raider is actually doing pretty good this year.
Guest maverick24 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I agree Dayton will probably score in the first half I am just saying Lumbertons D is better.

jake94 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 So, what you are saying is.... Lumberton's opponents if you take out their game vs. the RAIDERS have been outscored by these margins...New Caney has been outscored 127-21 in 2 gamesBridge City has been outscored 74-31 in 2 gamesCleveland has been outscored 101-20 in 3 gamesFor a grand total of 302-72.
