Would have been interesting to have seen how the game would have turned out had WO-S not have the special teams mistakes in the first half.  Not taking anything from China Spring but had the Mustangs played the first half with the same intensity as the second who knows what the outcome could have been.

They probably would have won the game. Lots of if’s in that game , pop had his worst game throwing, JT didn’t catch a single pass. I have no doubt if they were full strength they would win this game even with the special team mistakes .

They just looked like they weren't ready to play, mentally. Im sure that had a lot to do with the "make shift" line. Not having the usual horses up front can have a mental effect. Sad thing is that this was our best shot at a title for a while. Yeah, we have some players coming back but they'll have to assume different roles. Zeigler will go to QB and he'll do a good job, but this means he'll no longer be the utility guy he's been out of the back field. His ability to run and catch in the slot and out of the back field will be missed. 

 

On defense we'll lose 3 of 4 defensive backs and both our stud LB's. 

 

This was "the year". Its a dang shame it had to also be the year of covid. It always seems like, if something like this is going to happen, it's going to happen to us.

It's nothing to be sad about @Gasilla. We should be thankful for having a winning tradition that's been able to accomplish that streak.

I read somewhere that WO-S had 7 starters out due to COVID protocol ?  3 or 4 on the O-line alone?

All 5 starters on the offensive line were out. 2 defensive starters were out also.

That is true , it was a consideration to forfeit the game , but that’s not the WOS way. Defensive guys including Line Backers were playing OL.  Have to give it to CS for taking advantage of special team mistakes. 
They have a solid team. Wish them success today.

To have that many kids out and still compete at a high level, shows what kind of program they have over there.  Thats amazing!
