Coaches changed to the Land Park Defense this year. (Not Land Shark) Our Coaches keep the boys parked, on land, as the offense goes by. I am very proud of how hard our players on defense are playing, but we need kids going both ways! Quote
Davidp0403 Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 My suggestion is that you don’t have to have them go both ways. But my all means please get rid of this crappy defensive 3-4 scheme. Go to multiple d with base of like 4-4 or if you worried about the spread that much go to a base of 4-2-5. ALSO BRING BACK LIVE TACKLING DRILLS IN PRACTICE AND SHOTGUN ALLEY png9mon and Rez 2 Quote

outanup Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 Surely the Injuns loaded the box and got out of the 3 man front with TC only throwing 1 pass? Quote
dme1111 Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 Time for the Indian nation to demand change. Either the defensive scheme changes or Faircloth goes. Quote

chief1987 Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 We got donkey stomped and they only ran about 4 or 5 plays. Surely someone could have suggested they change something up to stop those 4 or 5 plays. Or how about watch some game film and copy it hay others used to stop them. Nederland held them to 10 points, that would have been a good starting point. Rez and WR2016 2 Quote
chief1987 Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 That was demoralizing pitiful today. Quote
CCRed Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 Just now, Pho Rizzle said: Watching Crosby it seemed as though they had a few players going both ways. If a team with that much talent is doing it then maybe the lesser teams should try it to. They will be undefeated district champs because they game plan to win . We had one starter going both ways in part of one game because a defensive starter was out. The first half of the PNG game is the only time that happened. Crosby does not normally do that. Against SF tonight a backup receiver starting for an injured player did go in on defense with the 2nd string during the 2nd half. Only occasions I have seen. Quote

Rez Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 So PNG will still make the playoffs if Texas City loses to BH and PNG beats Santa Fe. For what it’s worth, a chance to play one more game is worth cheering for. I can’t imagine we’d be able to hang with whoever we meet in the first round. And at this point I’m not even confident we beat Santa Fe. piratevillain and Setx fan 2 Quote
HurricaneCal Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 I still can’t believe the score of this game, the one thing I noticed though when Crosby played Texas City, those kids kept playing hard even though the game was out of hand, they were just overmatched. Quote
