Guest BIG HOUSE Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Someone please tell us how fast the Dayton kids are.
Guest BIG HOUSE Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Sounds like COOP is impressed!!
PURPLE 4EVER Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Against Lumberton....It won't be close.Dayton's speed was really the deciding factor last year. The receivers ran away in the other teams secondary and Dayton's QB found them for numerous TD receptions. The only team to match up speed wise with Dayton was Central, hince the 1 point game. This year...I believe there is MORE overall team speed than last year. The offensive and defensive lines don't have as much size, but they are just as quick. If the opposition in district can't match up to the Dayton receivers in the spread look for more lopsized victories. On top of that you must contain the QB or he will find the endzone time and time again.I wouldn't want to be the defensive coordinator trying to figure out how to slow down the Broncos, especially if you can't match up speed wise with the receivers.
Guest FPHS 78 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 bout 25 points faster than lump'ton
bhawk Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 im am a raider fan but im not a raider fan that lies to myself about my team they have more speed its true an it will be tough for us to stand againts the broncos
dme1111 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 lumberton will let you know after friday night
Guest maverick24 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Will tell you after the first 1/4 Friday night But didnt see many of them winning at the track meets last year!
Ned11str8 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 They have 2 quick receivers one runs a 4.31 and the other runs a 4.29. Thats pretty fast !!!! They also have a few slower guys. Its nothing to right home about but they have a few 4.4's .
JS Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Will tell you after the first 1/4 Friday night But didnt see many of them winning at the track meets last year!4 x 400 went to state last year--and 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 went to the regional meet---sounds pretty fast to me
bronco1 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 They are real, real slow. I wouldn't worry about it.
mustang85 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Are we talking football or track? I may be wrong, but I can never remember Dayton just have a world class track team. Apparently if they are that fast they have not really utilized it very well.

I was refering to Maverick's quote about the Dayton track team not winning anything--three teams to regionals and one to state is pretty good--as for football-- at least three of the boys that ran at regional and one that ran at state do play football
Guest DaveyJones Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Not fast enough to beat the 21-3A champ.
JS Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Not fast enough to beat the 21-3A champ.I'm real happy for you.
dayton Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Not fast enough to beat the 21-3A champ.fast enough when we have everybody playing to hold DPG to 15 yds in a half
geauxbroncos Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Will tell you after the first 1/4 Friday night But didnt see many of them winning at the track meets last year! That is an ignorant response.
mustang85 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 fast enough when we have everybody playing to hold DPG to 15 yds in a half
Guest edowd Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 daytons lineman can out run lumptons backs
dayton Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 fast enough when we have everybody playing to hold DPG to 15 yds in a halfDayton you do understand that you do not get credit for beating a player, only if you win the game. If memory serves me correctly, dayton has NEVER beaten the mustangs. I hope we keep yall on the schedule, I enjoy beating the area 4a district champion every year.
WOS92 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Holding DPG has nothing to do with speed. I doubt he even runs a 4.5. He's strong and elusive, not fast.
stangchain Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Seems to me that DPG got kicked out of that game BEFORE the half! I may be wrong...
mustang85 Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 No hard feelings Dayton, yall keep stopping one of our players, and we will keep beating yall everytime we play. Sounds like both parties will be satisfied.
