A glance at the topics discussed at today's Cardinal Club Luncheon.

1. Coach Tidwell is out of the country on a recruiting trip.

2. Roc discussed the team, individual players, the schedule and other teams in the SLC.

3. Lamar is not having a midnight madness but on the 16th they are having a event similar starting at 7PM. (more details to come soon)

4. They discussed the event with Dale Brown the featured speaker. (He stated Dale Brown is a better public speaker than his old boss who came last year.)

Now, what stuck out about the team and certain players. Of course, I can't remember what he stated word for word.

1. This team will the better on offense because the will be quicker leading to more fast-break points.

2. This team is a lot more athletic than the past couple of years.

3. They are 3 deep at point guard with him speaking highly of Shane Mahoney and Kenny Dawkins. However, he made a point to say McThay isn't the same player he was a couple years ago. Roc mentioned he is bigger, stronger, quicker and is shooting the ball well.

4. Roc thinks the strength of the team is his post/forward/center type players. There are several guys that fall into this discussion.

5. Lamar Sanders and Darren Hopkins are preseason All-SLC picks.

He talked about every player on the roster so I can't fairly state everything he stated 4 hrs ago.
