As a lumberton alum i try and support lumberton  but i find it hard to when people post stupid topics and such as lumberton going  to state? Having history is one thing and we don't we never have been to the playoffs before in (football) atleast! That being said i wish lumberton the best!

Playoff yes they have a shot lumberton has great leadership and were in most of the district games they played last year besides dayton. having many returning seniors helps I just think state is really unrealistic. I don't like people talking smack last year lumberton 3-0 with only one win in district not to mention losing to ozen a team who went 1-9 on the year only beating us. This year will be highly competitive and just say "if" lumberton beats dayton last night they can't get too cocky and let any district they should win slip up and lose

Finish better than last place in district and then start looking for state.  And by the way, I didn't say anything about Vidors prospects for this season.

It would nice if lumberton beat dayton but if they do i could only imagine what lumberton fans will be saying on here! They will let that win go to there heads and slip up in other district games missing out on the playoffs......but we shall see!

I'll be so glad when these "Lumberton will win state" threads stop popping up.  You have to crawl before you can walk.  How about just winning a playoff spot first, then maybe next year win district and go deep into the playoffs? :
