EAGLE07 Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 I forgot about Thurman Thomas @ Willowridge.. Played against him in the playoffs as a DB...Broke down..ready to lay wood.....didn't even touch the guy....pulled grass out of my helmet the next 10 minutes.
Bulldog92 Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 Thurman Thomas!!!I'm with ya on that one. He went nuts on Jasper in the '82 playoffs for over 300 yards when Jasper had shut out 9 of the previous 12 opponents and given up 23 points that entire season to that point. Willowridge rolled in that game 34-7.
Big GANDER Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 Played against Thurman Thomas, vey impressive. Seen a few after him, like Vince Young. Drew Tate, and Jamal Charles to name just a few
mustang4ever Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 I've seen quite a few in my day. Â Just a couple of quick names. Â Cedric Benson, Kevin Smith, Jerry Ball, James Brown, Jamaal Charles, Todd Dodge.

gary-us-bonds Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 Vince Young is far and away the best. Then you have David Boston, Leo Mills, Vernon Crawford, Cory Redding, Ced Cormier, Frank Middleton, Shaun Rogers, Drew Tate, Ell Roberson, Odell James, Chris Anderson(LaPorte), Columbus Wooley, Chip Ambres, Derrick Foster, David Givens...

SETXsports Broadcaster Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I got knocked on my butt many a time by the sweep of James and Oliver Hadnot. Bad thing about it I was on the same team.
j_dog Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 wasnt that played at lamar? Jasper was supposed to be the team to beat and got smoked?!it was closer the next year at Pasadena, Jasper losing 6-10 after a controversial end zone call denied Jasper the winning TD. Willowridge was ranked 5th in the nation going into that game. The next week, Bay City blew Willowridge off the map, something like 40-0 and went on to win state. Go figure.
