Guest abovetherim Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 Cardinals set to run against top competition in Minneapolis Sept. 28, 2007 MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Lamar University men's and women's cross country teams will take on a strong field at the 22nd Annual Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota on Saturday afternoon at the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course. The men's team, along with Renee Graham, Amanda King and Clerc Koenck from the women's team will face some of the top competition in the country in their first action in two weeks. The men's gold division race will begin at 12:10 p.m., with the Jack Johnson Women's Gold Competition starting at 12:55 p.m. The Cardinals, who placed second at the Texas A&M Invitational a week ago, will take on a field of 24 other schools this weekend. Schools participating in the men's gold division are Arizona State, Belmont, Bradley, Eastern Washington, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Lamar, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Navy, Nebraska, North Dakota State, Northern Arizona, Oklahoma, San Diego, South Dakota State, Utah Valley State, Virginia, Washington State, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Xaiver. The Lady Cardinals will also face a solid field of 25 other teams. Teams participating in the Jack Johnson Gold Competition are Arizona State, Belmont, Bradley, Eastern Washington, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Lamar, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota State, Northern Arizona, Northern Illinois, Oklahoma, San Diego, San Francisco, South Dakota State, UC Santa Barbara, Utah Valley State, Virginia, Washington State, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Xaiver.
