joemike Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 I would like to see the horns pull it out,but I think there is to much speed in HJ.Good Luck HornS/HJ - 26HF- 10
WreckinMachine Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 Is It really called the YEE-HAA Bowl? haha
AggiesAreWe Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 I thought it was the Hyphenated Bowl.Question for you HJ and HF fans. Where do the best athletes come from at your respective schools? Hardin or Jefferson? Hamshire or Fannett?
Guest coachhooker Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 Is It really called the YEE-HAA Bowl? hahaI was just about to ask the same thing?
Itsallaboutthegame00 Posted September 30, 2007 Author Report Posted September 30, 2007 Well maybe........me and some of the guys from the football team were trying to make up a name for HJ vs HF and some ones dad came in and said "Who is ready for the YEE-HAA Bowl!!!" and thats kinda how it started and we just went with it......
LionHeart Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 oh ok...is it usually a good game between HJ and HF??
Itsallaboutthegame00 Posted September 30, 2007 Author Report Posted September 30, 2007 Yea......they play against each other very well
HJ-Hawks25 Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 HF and HJ always have a great game together. last year it ended up being 13-7 HJ. it went into overtime.
Bigdog Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 Yee-haw bowl..... Thats definetly original. ;D
HFlonghorn1992 Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 Well i saw the HJ@EC game and no disrespect, HJ looked horrible. I hope they have made progress since then or I predict HF winning by two scores.HF 28HJ 14
HJ-Hawks25 Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 Well i saw the HJ@EC game and no disrespect, HJ looked horrible. I hope they have made progress since then or I predict HF winning by two scores.HF 28HJ 14come on now. Though in your eyes ya'll possibly looked better, and even played better, we both know that both teams against EC didnt have the greatest game. I saw ya'lls game too and yall had mistakes too. But still I think this should be a good game.
CATCH19 Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 I've heard it called the YEE-HAA bowl since forever, and its always a good game, and im ready to play...HJ-22HF-14GO GET EM HAWKS
sunshine Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 HJ by 10 or 17. look for #5 and #10 for HJ to have a few touchdowns each.
Guest car ramrod Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 HF wins. H-J is 3 and 1 with wins against a winless Bridge City, and 1-4 Anahuac, and a bad Cleveland team. The one loss was a beat down to the tune of 40 something to EC. H-F has played better teams and performed better.
Roll_Left15 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 "The Cheek Bowl"HF wins...I'm not sold on the Hawks...I think HF could contend for a playoff position, probably not get it, but they will contend.
Guest DaveyJones Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 HF wins at home this time. Hook'em.
Tiger24 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 There is a small community called Cheek on the school district border between HF and HJ. The best athletes come from there and attend both schools. Thus the name the Cheek Bowl.
Roll_Left15 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I've played many pick-up games in the park in Cheek on the HJ side....a lot of HJ kids some Hamshire kids some Kelly kids sprinkle in some Ozen kids every now and then......you got some good basketball games...HEATED GAMES!!!
EDBLU Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 There is a small community called Cheek on the school district border between HF and HJ. The best athletes come from there and attend both schools. Thus the name the Cheek Bowl.HF wins 10-7. I hope the Cheek guys will come back to HF because HF needs more athletes to compete with the top teams in 21-3A. In the past when they have been in the playoffs it had a lot to do with the great RB's that came from that area.
horndawg Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 All I have to say is, I believe there is some kind of curse against HF when they play HJ. It seems that HJ always plays the spoiler to many things HF tries to accomplish. Look at the past few years: '05 kept the horns out of the playoffs (would have needed help to get in, but loss against hawks ended the season for sure)'06 kept the horns out of the playoffs with a 38-12 victory.and even in baseball hj is 6-0 in district play i believe against HF. So come on horns, break the curse...PLEASE
