Guest abovetherim Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 I'd expect a baseball guy like yourself to find this information. Good find! You and your brother have a good time out there on Crockett Street later tonight. 8)
Guest coachacola Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 When will Jim Gilligan announce the recruiting class?
NewCardinal Posted September 30, 2007 Author Report Posted September 30, 2007 Well I played baseball at Aledo HS west of Fort Worth with one of the guys on the team this year. He played at Temple Junior College last year. He is about 6-5 and can run. He plays in the OF. First name is Chase but I'm not sure I want to place his full name on the message board without talking to him. I have no idea when Coach is going to release the names of this recruiting class. Another reason I don't want to place his full name on here.Lamar has a better team than I thought before I came to the university. They really have some talent here.
Guest abovetherim Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 Smart NewCardinal. Let the athletic department announce the signees. I've found out it can cause problems if we post information before the coach does.
Tiger90 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 ??? Just looking at the list, is Lamar at 100? If so I don't get the very good class thing what is the big deal? How many schools are we dealing with?
LamarJunior Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I would think a school the size of Lamar would be happy with the recognition just being in the Top 100 in any sport. I'm not a big baseball guy but with all the colleges and universities in the country I think it's a pretty good ranking. Probably not good if you are talking about LSU, UT, or one of the big-time athletic programs. How many schools in our conference were ranked ahead of us?
Guest abovetherim Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 The answer is one school in the SLC is ranked ahead of Lamar. SE Louisiana ???
