HORNSFAN86 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Does anyone know if a failing grade on the 3 week progress report keep players off the field or is it the 6 week report card?
McLovin Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Hahaha...this one again!!! I believe it's just the final six weeks grade. I just thought about something: Some schools might have an advantage with failing players if they opt to have the 9 week schedule rather than 6 weeks. I'm not sure of all the regulations, but it's something to think about. ??? ??? ???
Guest coachhooker Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 6 weeks report card then if they are passing all class after the next 3 weeks they can come back
Bucster Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I'm pretty sure it's based on the 6 weeks score. The 3 week report is meant to get the player's attention.
Hotrodg Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 It is the 6 week report card grade by law but a school might have a policy that includes the progress report.

Hotrodg Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 If you want to research the legislation look for House Bill 72.
hjhawks Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Most places require you to be passing ALL subjects at the progress report time to become re-elgible.
DesertStorm Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 State law requires passing of all subjects after 3 weeks if failing the previous 6 weeks.

Guest WBFan09 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 it actually might be a disadvantage for the team to have a 9-week grading period1. The players become set in positions and players grow accustomed to it and if a player fails the team may be in confusion2. the 3 week report lets players not be gone too long and they will get back before playoffs
the wise one Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 yes i believe the 6 weeks grading schedule is better
