Based on the film I've seen I'm not sold on the Pine Tree defense their offense on the other hand is right up there with Nederland. I think this will be a one touchdown game either way

The way Nederland seems to start worries me. They need a bit more coffee before the games and I'd easily pick them in most their games. I never feel comfortable picking Nederland but hey they just keep winning baby.

I think the Dogs will win by 10.  Big Ned has not peaked yet.  I don't think they can stop Mazyck, Fuselier, Seymour and Cunningham all night.  Defense will do there job.  Special teams seams to be back on track.

 Utilizing Piletere on the longer field goals has helped.  He can also boot it deep on kickoffs.

Granted, I have only seen the one PT game, and they have a potent offense...I think the Dogs D does enough and gets that one extra stop to have Nederland prevail...Dogs by 8

Last playoff game we had that was cold and wet was the 2nd Georgetown game that didn't turn out so well...hopefully this one will.

This should be a great game...sell out on getting the QB and you beat Pine Tree....only one team was able to do it this year.  Nederland should be favored by 7-10 due to Pine Tree's defense being suspect at times...

Looking at the brackets Ned has a good shot of getting to the Regional finals. I know one game at a time, but I think Ned wins this one then meets Montgomery in the next round which is another winnable game.  This is why you want the #1 seed! Goodluck Ned stay healthy and represent!

Pine Tree has former Buckeye assistant Kerry Lane at the helm. Coach Lane I believe has been at Pine Tree for about 5 years. The kids seem to have bought in and he has the program on the right track.  I don't know how far PT will make it this year but I look for bigger and better things for Coach Lane and the Pirates in the next couple of years. They are just sticking a toe in this year. Lol
