Bucster Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Six of the AA schools mentioned Canadian, Bushland, Stratford, Muleshoe, Panhandle and Childress are located in the Panhandle.None of 'em could compete in Region III.
westend1 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I imagine they would be pretty competitive
adminbaberuth Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 5A....don't you think Brook deserves at least a vote?4A....Jury still out on the Dogs, little to high.3A....I like the Stangs in the top 10, what a game Friday against .......the Wildcats #10 vs #142A....Newton and East Chambers will go deep in the playoffs.
stevieray Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Wichita Falls and Keller Fossil Ridge have no business being anywhere on this list....
Guest Nederland Bandit Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Nederland should break it if we win this week.
Guest EagleFan01 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Newton should have never dropped out of the top 2A
jmspears3 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 I think Nederland or Everman should have moved up to at least #10Aledo should have dropped out of top 10
WOS92 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Unless someone loses, I don't see Nederland moving up into the top 10. I realize they (and Everman) are tied for #11, they are behind by 25 points (#10 has 34, the #11s have 9). That's a fairly distant 11th (as compared to 10th).

That's a fairly distant 11th (as compared to 10th).Well since Brownwood, Waco and Copperas Cove are all in the same district, and Brownwood faces Copperas Cove next week... if Nederland can win the next two they are pretty much guaranteed someone will be losing in the top 10.
tvc184 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Nederland should break it if we win this week.If Nederland could beat Central, then they will get a lot of consideration. It will still take someone above them losing.
NedDog Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Is it just me, or does it seem like every time Ned has been mentioned in the polls, or gets a little bit of statewide recognition, we end up losing a game shortly thereafter?Â
tvc184 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Is it just me, or does it seem like every time Ned has been mentioned in the polls, or gets a little bit of statewide recognition, we end up losing a game shortly thereafter? That seems true but it is likely true with most teams, especially the ones on the lower end of the rankings. Most teams don't go undefeated and the polls are always changing for a reason. Someone will lose and move down, someone will win and move up.

Well I was surprised that Aledo after losing to Stephenville only moved down four spots, they should have dropped further.Aledo plays Everman this Friday.

I think that being 3-1 and losing to the second ranked team in the state is not that bad. I can see a tenth place spot for that, assuming that it was a decent game.

tvc184 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 How far do you think they should drop after losing to the #2 team by a field goal?
jmspears3 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Aledo's was 3-0 before they played us.The other schools they played were a combined 0-9Nederland should be up there because of the quality teams they have beat.JMO

How bad did they beat the 0-9 teams? You can't fault a team for beating teams that they should beat. They did play Stephenville to a 3 point game. They can't be too bad.

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Rider better move up....poll is a joke.
MikeEast Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 As long as we get deep into the playoffs.... I dont care what the pollsters think. Not that I dont appreciate the consideration, but I would rather be unranked and winning than ranked and knocked out in the first or second round like so many teams are as the season progresses.

TradinUp BH Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 I hope Ned does get in the top 10. That way we can knock them out of the top 10 ;D
