I am amazed at this. I am so glad Mart fell and Windthorst is State Champions! Mart never seemed to take Windthorst fully serious. They were way too casual. Number 10 had been saying since 8th grade he was going to lead Mart to a 4-peat. They thought it was a done deal, but they forgot to tell Windthorst.

As far as the final drive, I could not believe Windthorst did not go for the kill with the 2pt. coversion at first. Their kicker was "iffy" tonight. There is no way I would have tried to kick to go to OT. Mart bailed them out by jumping offsides, Windthorst is very lucky Mart played sloppy. I do know this, the Windthorst team beat Marts individual talent. I am not a fan of Mart. They knocked EC out too many times...

Congrats Windthorst!

They didn't think it was a done deal. Fine program in Mart, the success speaks for itself. Windthorst coaching won that game. 

 

Last time they brought a ship home to Archer County i was stationed in Wichita Falls, heard about it for months. Congrats to Windthorst. 

 

Btw: #2 for Windthorst can come play at Arkansas.
