baddog Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Ned needs to run some clock. Central will probably onsides kick. What a game.
baddog Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Less than 6 minutes. Ned recovers onsides kick.
Guest Penny Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Funny Scalp em, I like your thinking though.
NewIndian Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 I second that thought, this is gonna kill titan
baddog Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Central punts...4:17 to play. Central with one timeout. Run the ball Ned.
Guest Penny Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 One thing about the spread, at times it's tough to protect a lead... it's either balls flying all over and points, or three and out at times.
baddog Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 3rd down and short for Ned. Under 2:00.4th down 1:23 to play. Ned goes for it. Illegal procedure called against Ned. Ned to punt.
baddog Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Central has the ball at their own 7 yard line with about 1:15 left.
baddog Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Central has the ball at their own 7 yard line with about 1:15 left.Safety for Ned 40- 29!!!!!!!
TradinUp BH Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Where's all the tough defense. Sounds like that got tossed out and it's an all out slugfest
Guest Penny Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 See you next week Em... we'll bring ours you bring yours... we'll see who's better.
TradinUp BH Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Just keep ya'lls paws off of our todem pole ;D ;D
Bigdog Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 I'm not surprised that Central settled down and got in thier offense. The defense stopped them when it counts. Central will be in the playoffs.
NewIndian Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Sound like it will be a good one but were coming to burn down the house
MikeEast Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Typical for them to sit on a lead like that. My only thing is I do NOT understand why you keep throwing and stopping the clock late in the fourth quarter. On the 2 drives before the last possesion they used about 30 seconds of clock where they could have easily eaten up almost 2 minutes per possession. Central had one time out left. WHY do you not run the ball, go 3 and out running and punt if nothing else. I think it was almost a catastrophe. A win is a win but as I said in my post before the second half started, I had a feeling it was going to come down to an end like this, I was holding my breath. Very dangerous game of chicken they played tonight. I was proud to see that Central did not quit, they played hard and almost pulled off an incredible comeback.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 i almost was right when i said ned by 21

The score got too close for Larrys liking. (if you catch my drift)

(if you catch my drift) We actually ran the ball okay. But when there are two minutes left, you burn as much clock as you can. Game ball to the punter for pinning Central back twice at the end of the game.
Guest Penny Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Lots of armchair quarter backs would say if Nederland tried to run out the clock and go 3 and out... why do that, you've been throwing all night. Don't go into the prevent offense... you have to dance with what brung ya. We won by two scores against a good football team... please be happy folks... that was a great win. It is so dang easy to second guess... I enjoy it to.. but please enjoy the win... it was a big one.
Bigdog Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Playoffs are still a toss up. COuld be anyone but Ozen or Vidor with LCM fading fast. Pretty deep hole for all three of those teams. I don't think three losses is going to make in the playoffs.
